Community Fall Fest:  2001 was the first year for this event.  It was held in the fall at West Burlington Arnold High School.  This event gave families the chance to spend an afternoon together doing various activities.  There is also entertainment and food for all to enjoy.  This event is also an opportunity for parents and children to learn about the 40 Assets and healthy lifestyles.  There were over 1,200 community members in attendance at this annual event in 2003 which continues to grow.

Rockin’ Safe Eve December 31, 2009 is from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Fireworks at 8:45 PM. This annual event occurs on New Year Eve at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium This event allows families the opportunity to ring in the New Year together in a safe and fun environment.  There were over 1100 community members at this event in 2003.

Teddy Bear and Friends Gentle Day in  the Park, June 27,2009 at Skatehouse on Lake Starker 12:00-4:00PM:  This annual event occurs to create a drug-free, healthy atmosphere for family entertainment.  There are activities for the entire family to enjoy from young to old.  In 2004, the Teddy Bear Picnic served 2,000 people of all ages. 


GRADE A PLUS has offered a variety of services for the community in the past and look forward to expanding these services in the years to come.  Below is a brief listing stating some of the various services that have been provided by GRADE A PLUS.
The services listed are tangible and actual events provided by GRADE A PLUS.  The heart of the program and the purpose behind the events is to have the concept of a healthy lifestyle infiltrated through the community in which we reside.  The overall goal of GRADE A PLUS is to have people leading a healthy lifestyle and promoting it through their every day life.

Red Ribbon Week October 23 to 31:  GRADE A PLUS is the organizing force behind the community events that take place during this nationally recognized week.  Through Red Ribbon Week community members of all ages work together to promote a drug-free lifestyle.  This message reaches every student in schools throughout Des Moines County.
