Peer Mediation is a process where trained student mediators help other students resolve their disputes by creating their own solutions. This process can be utilized in lieu of formal discipline measures.
Mediation allows students to:

Explore feelings, points of view and solutions.
Reach an agreement that satisfies both parties.
Identify student's needs.
Clarify issues.
Understand each others point of view.
Allow students to take responsibility for their actions as well as the consequences.
